Job description ELECTRICIANS JOB DESCRIPTION • Reading blueprints and drawing • Installation supporting systems • Installation cable trays and condueting and box fixing and all kind of containment. • Wire pulling • Distribution panel Installation • Cable dressing and termination in distribution board • All type of LV cable dressing, glanding and termnation in SMDB, MDB, Capacitor bank, ATS and generators in LV rooms • Conduct regular preventative maintenance inspections of electrical equipment • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. We are innovators, committed to redesigning and improving public services to fulfil our purpose to impact a better future by "Bringing National Visions to Life".  Your Opportunity We are looking for an Electrical Technician-Outdoor Lighting to carryout preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance on outdoor lighting related systems and assets individually or as part of a technical team, with a s designated are of operation, whilst ensuring minimal disruption to the business operations. Carry out all technical and safety instructions from staff, to conform to business operations policy and procedures. Key accountabilities • Correctly setup and use electrical test equipment and interpret the test results to include Digital Multi Meter, Insulation Resistance Tester • Perform maintenan ce tasks to Distribution Board, High Mast Pole and Flood Light Fixture • High Mast Lighting Inspection and Servicing • Replacement different type of fixtures for high mast lighting • Aiming and orientation of lights for correct direction. • Operation and maintenance of high mast lowering mechanism • Promoting a Zero Harm culture within own team and all suppliers and sub-contractors engaged on Projects work • Ensure security and integrity of all data provided including reporting performance, finance and customer information, reference Serco non-disclosure policy. • To exercise personal duty of care for their own health, safety and welfare and for those affected by their acts or omissions; reference SMS GSOP-HSE1-6 Serco organisational HSE responsibilities. • Report any accidents, incidents, breaches or potential breaches to appropriate management or the speak up process. Specific requirements • Holding High School Certificate or above • Minimum three (4) years relevant experience within outdoor lighting or similar. • Airport experience is considered as added advantage for this position. • This position requires a very good level of spoken and written English to communicate with staff, stakeholders and customers in oral and written. • Ability to perform safely and correctly the following on low voltage (LV) equipment and systems: • Electrical Isolations and LOTO • - Planned preventative maintenance (PM) routines • - Corrective maintenance (CM) • - Breakdown maintenance (BD) What's in it for you?
